SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF NO. 45 LINE TO NORTHERN PARKWAY AND YORK ROAD
Beginning Sunday, December 11, southbound buses of the No. 45 line will be operated over the present route to Loch Raven Bouelvard and Northern Parkway, proceeding west of Northern Parkway and taking layover east of York Road; returning via:
West on Northern Parkway,
North on York Road,
East on Cedarcroft Road,
South on Ready Avenue,
East on Northern Parkway to
Loch Raven Boulevard,then north over the present route.
Bus service on the No. 45 line on Loch Raven Bouelvard between Belvedere Avenue and Northern Parkway will be discontinued; however, buses of the No. 3 line will be operated over this route.
On weekdays and Saturdays, the No. 45 bus will leave York Road and Northern Parkway at 15-minute intervals between 5:54 A.M. and 8:54A.M., and between 3:38 P.M. and 6:37 P.M.
On Sundays, the No. 45 bus will leave York Road and Northern Parkway at 30-minute intervals between 9:51 A.M. and 6:04 P.M.
WHEN BOUND TO YORK ROAD
Passengers boarding the bus north of the City Line and desiring to reach City points will deposit 18¢, or one token and 5¢, in the fare box and will be given an identification check for use on southbound buses of the No. 3 line, or on north or southbound cars of the No. 8 line (good on Northbound cars of the No. 8 line to York and Dunkirk Roads only) on which lines a transfer will be issued, upon request, for use on intersecting lines.
Passengers boarding the No. 45 bus at or between Joppa Road and the City Line will deposit 13¢, or one token in the fare box. Should a passenger remain on the bus after passing the City Line, he will be requested to deposit an additional 5¢.
Passengers boarding the bus south of the city line will deposit 13¢, or one token, in the fare box, and will be given an identification check.
At Northern Parkway and Loch Raven Boulevared, Operators of No. 45 buses will accept white No. 3 transfers and retransfer coupons from lines that intersect the No. 3 line.
WHEN OUTBOUND
At York Road and Northern Parkway, Operators of No. 45 line buses will accept white and rose No. 8 transfers and retransfer coupons from lines that intersect the No. 8 line. Such passengers will be permitted to ride to the city line only.
Passengers boarding the No. 45 bus at or between York Road and the City Line and depositing the regular fare will be permitted to ride to the City Line only, and will be given, upon request, an identification check for use on southbound buses of the No. 3 line, on which line a transfer will be issued, upon request, for use on intersecting lines.
At Loch Raven Boulevard and Northern Parkway, Operators of No. 45 buses will accept white No. 3 transfers and retransfer coupons from lines that intersect the No. 3 line, good to City Line only.
Passengers tendering identification checks on southbound cars of the No. 8 line, or on southbound buses of the No. 3 line, will be given, upon request, a transfer for use on intersecting lines.
Operators of northbound cars of the No. 8 line and Operators of northbound buses of the No. 3 line, upon arrival at Northern Parkway, will issue to all passengers a white transfer for use on the No. 45 bus - good to the City Line only.
Passengers tendering transfers from intersecting lines on northbound cars of the No. 8 line, or on buses of the No. 3 line, may retain the retransfer coupon for use on buses of the No. 45 line - good to the city line only.
