NO. 39-49 TO: OPERATORS OF ALL LINES
SUBJECT: INAUGURATION OF NO. 48-KELLY AVENUE LINE.
On account of the No. 25 line being converted from cars to buses, effective Sunday April 24, the No. 48-Kelly Avenue car line will be inaugurated, operating between Belvedere Loop and a crossover on Kelly Avenue near Sulgrave, as follows:
When eastbound, cars will start from Belvdere Loop and proceed via Belvedere Avenue to Old Pimlico Road, to Ken Oak Road, to Cross Country Boulevard, to Kelly Avenue, to a crossover near Sulgrave Avenue; returning westbound over same route.
Passengers originating on eastbound cars and paying cash or token fare must be given, upon request, identification check (Sample A posted on bulletin board) good on north or southbound buses of the No. 5 line; or on northbound buses of the no. 40 line, at Park Heights Avenue; or on eastbound buses of the No. 25 line at Kelly and Sulgrave Avenues. On these lines, passengers will be given, upon request, a full transfer for use on intersecting lines.
At Park Heights and Belvedere Avenues, passengers tendering identification check from No. 40 line must be given, upon request, an identification check (Sample A) good on eastbound buses of No. 25 line.
Passengers tendering transfers on Eastbound cars of No. 48 line from intersecting lines may retain the retransfer coupon for use on eastbound buses of No. 25 line.
At Belvedere Loop, passengers tendering No. 58 identification checks must be given upon request, a full No. 48 identification check good on intersecting lines.
Passengers originating on westbound cars of No. 48 line and paying cash or token fare must be given, upon request, an identification check (Sample B posted on bulletin board) good on intersecting lines, on which passengers will be given, upon request, a full transfer for use on intersecting lines.
Passengers on north or southbound cars tendering transfers from lines Nos. 5 and 25 may retain the retransfer coupon for use on intersecting lines.
At Kelly and Sulgrave Avenues, accept rose and white retransfer coupons Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5-7, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 ,13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 36, and No. 25 line identification checks.
