When will
the Airport extension on the #17 Streetcar line open?
Unfortunately,
BTCo had planned to open the #17 line extension in July of 2001, but extreme
difficulties in aquiring land have pushed the scheduled completion of this
extension to July of 2003.
Extension
of service on route #17 to the Friendship International Airport will offer
a one seat transit ride to this growing transportation hub, as well as
offer more frequent service to residents along the MDot B&A line as
far as Shipley. More infromation will become available as the opening
date approaches.
-
Why is
the "Y-Rolling Road Bus Line" not shown on the service map?
At
the time this map was being drawn, negotiations were under way for a takeover
of route Y by Old Court Transit. These talks initially fell through,
but have since resumed. As a result, the cartographer was at a loss
to determine if the line should be designated in blue or yellow as per
the map coding. We hope to have this resolved shortly.
-
Can I
charter a BTCo Vehicle?
BTCo
will charter any of its vehicles for local travel, provided that the operation
of the charter does not impede our frequent scheduled service. Many
people charter our Streetcars and Trackless Trolleys for fan trips, and
our Buses to move large groups with versatility.
-
Does BTCo
have a historic fleet for charter?
BTCo
does roster older vehicles of every type specifically for charter, in addition
to rostering a wide variety of vehicles used in every day service, varying
from a few 1917 streetcars to buses dating to 1963. Both the "Historic
Fleet" and the Revenue Fleet vehicles may be chartered, at the customer's
preference.
